30 years of operation!

Mar 9, 2021

It's not unusual for us to have to answer the following question: how long does an automatic bar screen last?

It's complicated to answer every time, because it depends on a number of factors, such as frequency of operation, quality of maintenance and context.

To illustrate, here's an FB Procédés automatic bar screen installed in the Finistère department in 1990. Back then, there was no protective fairing, no waste discharge hopper, but already the first steps in our gravity system. The steel is protected by zinc shooping.

After 30 years in operation, we replaced it last month with an SG400 automatic bar screen.

We've come a long way from these clichés. But always the same leitmotiv: simplicity, efficiency and reliability.
