Our history
1985 - The invention
Fernand Barré, founder of FB Procédés Artisan, invented the automatic vertical bar screen with gravity operation. Ahead of its time, this bar screen was named vertical bar screen type NG. Since then, he has made a major contribution to our company's reputation, and is still part of our core business today. range of bar screens.
1991 - The transmission
The time has come for Fernand Barré to retire. He passed on his know-how to Patrick Dupré, a former methods agent at Worthington in Nantes. Dupré bought the company and created FB Procédés SARL.
1993 - development
Robert Lobréau, a former engineer at ACB Alstom, takes over as head of the company's technical department. A genuine research and development program was launched to expand our product range.
1997 - Creation of the SG400 bar screen
Faced with recurring requests from numerous operators looking for a screening solution on WWTPs of 6500 equ/hab and less, we are launching an alternative to the NG type bar screen. This is how the SG400 vertical bar screen was born, inspired by NG bar screen technology. Responding precisely to their needs, the SG400 was an immediate success with operators.
2003 - Creation of the XG bar screen
Consulted to supply bar screens with downstream waste discharge - our range at the time was limited to bar screens with upstream discharge - we decided to launch the new XG vertical bar screen.
2006 - Creation of VTP and VCP screws
We are launching our own range of VTP screw conveyor and compacting screw type VCPto meet the growing demand. Today, a bar screen is associated with a screw.
2010 - Export development
Although we are already present in several countries, we are now taking a real step towards marketing our bar screens for export, by creating a dedicated department.
2012 - Creation of the SI350 bar screen
Specially designed for WWTPs of 3,000 equ/hab and less, the bar screen type SI350 completes our range and enables us to optimize our offers for this type of installation.
2016 - Morocco and Spain
To offer the same level of support and responsiveness as in France, we are opening offices in Casablanca and Barcelona. This choice allows us to be as close as possible to our customers.
2017 - Creation of the PROSTEP bar screen
Considered for many years as the vertical screening specialistsTo meet the challenge set by several of our loyal customers, we designed a "staircase" bar screen. This is how the bar screen type PROSTEP comes out of our workshops and has been giving full satisfaction ever since.
2023 - Guillaume Dupré takes the reins
Guillaume joined the FB Procédés teams in February 2014, initially as Sales Director. In 2015, he became Managing Director of the company, before his father, Patrick Dupré, retired in 2018. In June 2023, Guillaume bought FB Procédés outright, becoming its sole shareholder.
2024 - Creation of the PROPRESS washing press
Waste management has become a real problem for many towns and cities. To meet the needs of our customers, we have designed this PROPRESS washer press, which not only reduces the volume of waste, but also achieves a dryness greater than 50%.
