A buffer tank and a discharge station equipped with FB bar screens

Aug 10, 2021

Just before the summer period, two "FB Procédés" automatic vertical bar screens were installed in the Marne department, just a few meters apart.

What is their role? One is designed to filter "dry weather" wastewater and protect the downstream discharge station pumps; the other is designed to screen "wet weather" water and prevent certain types of waste from entering the buffer tank.

Equipped with a 50mm air-gap screen, these two bar screens operate at variable speeds due to their considerable height (almost 9000mm). The aim is to optimize cycle time (1 down and 1 up), while maintaining adequate speed at strategic points, i.e. during screen cleaning and waste ejection.

Their respective "FB Procédés" electrical boxes are attached to the sides of the upper frames.
