An automatic bar screen installed on a water intake
Last week, our technicians Cédric and Geoffrey (ably supported by Julien and Jordan) installed an XG12 automatic bar screen at a water intake on the banks of the Seine.
It was a delicate operation, given the size of the parts to be assembled. Indeed, the lower frame of the bar screen alone was over ten metres long and three metres wide. Over five tonnes of stainless steel were fastened to the existing civil engineering. The installation took two days.
In a few days' time, this bar screen will be able to absorb 5000m3/h and bring up a maximum amount of waste (plastics, plants and others) with its 10mm air gap. It is combined with a screw conveyor that will enable waste to be dumped on the edge of the canal.
At the end of the year, we'll be installing its "twin brother" in a canal just a few meters from the first.
Don't hesitate to contact our sales team if you have similar needs.
