A special assembly on a station

Oct 25, 2019

Last week, we worked on a wastewater treatment plant south of Nantes, installing a bar screen/compactor unit on a lifting station.

Because of the particular nature of this substation (elevated above the natural terrain, great depth) and the positioning of the bar screen (offset from the effluent inlet pipe), we had to take meticulous measurements before starting production. The adaptability of our bar screens to existing civil engineering systems is particularly important for this installation.

On the day of assembly, we proceeded as follows:

- Assembling the two-part undercarriage to the floor

- Handling of lower frame (7500mm high) and installation in station

- Levelling and securing the undercarriage

- Handling and installation of the upper frame, bolted to the lower frame

- Handling, installation and fastening of the compaction auger

- Installation of the electrical box and its support on the substation, near the bar screen.

- Electrical connections, settings and tests

- Operator training.

The duration of our intervention was limited to a day and a half.
