A municipal substation equipped with a bar screen
Last week, we equipped a municipal lift station with an SG400 automatic vertical bar screen.
The context was as follows:
- Concrete substation, internal diameter 1600mm. Wall thickness 120mm
- Substations 1200mm above ground level
- Substation equipped with manual basket, protecting two lift pumps
- Our customer wants to improve the operating conditions of this station. Cleaning the manual basket is tedious and does not provide sufficient protection for the downstream pumps (wipes, sanitary towels, condoms, etc.).
Following our customer's request, and a visit from our sales representative to take measurements, we proposed the installation of a bar screen, installed in place of the manual basket, against the vertical wall of the station and facing the effluent inlet pipe. It takes up no more space, and the two pumps can still be reassembled without the slightest modification.
The pluses: waste is dumped directly into a garbage can located outside the plant; no more contact with waste for the operator; optimized pump protection; no need to service the plant; all bar screen spare parts are accessible from outside the plant.
If you have similar requirements, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team.
